Articles...

These Articles in US News & World Report are about a little girl named Makenna, who's heart defect is similar to Mirabel's. She is about 5 years old now and has had all three of her major surgeries.

This article is about her and her third surgery

This one is a photo essay about that surgery

and this one is a six month follow up

Both Godparents in one weekend, what a treat!!

Uncle "Rob" came in from Ohio just for the day...
...And he said he wasn't going to fall in love!
Then Julie came over on Sunday...

...It was hard to tell who was entertaining who.

So Mirabel...

How do you feel about Daddy's first day watching you all by himself?

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen ...

One of these days I'm breaking out!

Back home!

We sprung Mirabel last night; it's so good to have her home! Well,
there is one member of the household who doesn't agree ... But Lilu's
feelings aside, everything seems to be going well so far. We're
keeping the princess on a good flow of oxygen while she's asleep and
checking her during the day (right now she's setting off the *high*
sat alarm). Let's hope the plan continues to be successful for Grandma
Arlene's first full day tomorrow!

Yoink!

Got yer nose!

It's nice that Mirabel can keep her sense of humor, even when she's in the hospital.

Time for a tune up.

Mirabel must like Children's Hospital because she just can't stay away.
She was admitted again yesterday for another tune up. She may be home
tomorrow or she might be here til sometime next week.
She's doing fine they are just trying to fine tune her meds and keep
her blood oxygen levels stable.
Maybe if we get her a better mobile for home she'll be more
comfortable there.

Oh Mr. Duck...

You're a Delight!

But why did you bring Pink Bear?!

He ruins everything!
