Mirabel's ears must have been burning on Tuesday because people were talking about her at Seattle Children's. Everyone has agreed that the next course of action is for her have the next scheduled surgery (the Glenn). She is scheduled for the surgery on July 9th. There will be several doctor visits in between, both routine and relating to the procedure.
It's hard to know what to say. We are happy that this is the route she will be taking and we know it is a very important step, but it's a scary one too, so there are lots of mixed emotions all rolled up into one day. To top it all off we have to wait 6 more weeks before we can be done with it.
Anyway, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask and we will update you as things get closer.
Take care.

Hi Christy
I will be thinking of you over the next month or so. Please feel free to email with any questions or anything you want to talk about. I know that the group will also be there to offer any support we can.
Its a good time of year to avoid the cough-cold issues that often delay surgeries and I hope that everything goes super smoothly and this is all in the "got through it" stage before you know it.
Please update us on how things are going. It really brings back memories for me - still only about 6 months since Wren was having his last surgery and I know how anxious you must feel.
Wow- having the date really makes it real, doesn't it? It always did for us. I'm so happy, though, that Mirabel is a candidate for the Glenn and that she is in such good hands at Children's.
We are praying for you! Let me know if you want to try and get together ... we would love to see you!
