Surgery Scheduled

Hello all.

Mirabel's ears must have been burning on Tuesday because people were talking about her at Seattle Children's.  Everyone has agreed that the next course of action is for her have the next scheduled surgery (the Glenn).  She is scheduled for the surgery on July 9th.  There will be several doctor visits in between, both routine and relating to the procedure.  

It's hard to know what to say.  We are happy that this is the route she will be taking and we know it is a very important step, but it's a scary one too, so there are lots of mixed emotions all rolled up into one day.  To top it all off we have to wait 6 more weeks before we can be done with it.

Anyway, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask and we will update you as things get closer.

Friday Night with Friends

We went to see Calliope last night.  She's SO cute! but that's no surprise, her parents are cute too...

Cristy talked to the Cardiologist today she thinks everything looks good for Mirabel's next surgery but her case wasn't discussed in conference this week. The Dr. said they'd discuss it on Tuesday (thanks to the holiday) and unless they surgeon has any objections, they'll call us next week to schedule the Glenn within the next month.

So, we're enjoying Mirabel and we aren't in any hurry to get to the surgery, but we'd sure like to be past it. We'll let you all know once we know the schedule. Thanks for checking in!

Mirabel is out of the cath lab and doing fine! We have to hang out
for a few hours to make sure there were no comlications but we should
all be home this afternoon!!!
Preliminary results look good. We haven't talked to the cardiologist
yet so were being cautiously optimistic. Hopefully wel'll know more
next week.

Blogity blog blog

Hello everyone, sorry we haven't posted in a while. I won't try to offer some lame excuse about being busy etc. Basically we haven't been able to tear ourselves away from our baby long enough to cross the room and sit at the computer for 15 minutes.

Mirabel is doing really well. She's happy and rolling over (almost). And this week, after never really taking to the bottle, her PT Gay tried giving her some water from a spoon and Mirabel loved it! Her first time she was reaching out to grab the spoon for more.

I know there are so many of you out there praying for her all the time but a few more this week wouldn't hurt. She is going to Children's on Thursday for a heart cath. Before her next surgery the doctors need to get an inside look at her heart to make sure the internal pressures are where they need to be for surgery. If everything looks good they'll schedule her second surgery in a month or so. If things look bad, they will probably reactivate her on the transplant list and if it's somewhere in between, well, we'll just have to see. We might not know the plan right away, but I'll be sure to post something on Friday just so everyone knows that the cath went well.

Another week gone...

Hello all, everything is going well here at the Stone home. We have
lots of great photos to share but was too busy this weekend enjoying
my girls and the weather. New update soon.

Not a lot of pictures this weekend.  It was really nice here in Seattle and we spent a lot of time outside.  And Mirabel went to church for the first time.  She was very good, but it should be pointed out she slept through most of it.  

Mirabel is looking more like Cristy all the time.

Monday with Gram!

Mirabel was a busy bee last week, meeting all kinds of people - Dr. Weinstein, Amber and Garret, all the people at Daddy's office who said she's so cute. 

And to top it off on Monday, we had a visit from Gram! Mirabel was sound asleep until the moment Gram arrived, and she took a little while to wake up - hence the "who are you and how did you get here?" look.

But after awhile, she warmed up to her Gram.

Warmed up to and drooled on, and a good time was had by all!

Friday was a busy day for Mirabel and Daddy.  Doctors appts, shopping, running errands with Grandma and stopping by David's work so they could get their baby fix.  Good thing Mirabel looked SO cute!

But she's more than just cute.  She's also growing like a weed.  Just look how tall she is standing on Mommy's lap...

I would make this a longer post, but it's a beautiful day in Seattle and we are going to the Farmer's Market in just a few minutes.  But have no fear, later today I'll be posting Easter Pictures!!!  I know you don't want to wait, but you have to.  Okay, here's a little preview, just to whet your appetite...
